I have been managing safety programs and providing safety training to workers and community members for over two decades. I draw from 29 years of field work in a variety of industries, including construction, live events, warehousing, and industrial production. I know all too well what it feels like to be a worker who is forced to choose between their own safety and fulfilling the demands of their job. That extensive experience informs everything I do. While traditional safety professionals focus heavily on rules, laws, and compliance, my intention is to empower everyone I cross paths with  to be able to understand hazards and risk and make daily decisions to take action to protect themselves, their coworkers, their families, and their communities. At the center of my safety management and training philosophies is empowerment. Only by handing the tools and skills directly to workers and community members can we see a safe culture, safe workplace, and safe world.
